The board
Kevin Brown, Chief Executive Officer
Kevin Brown founded Affiliate Window in 2000 after almost 10 years experience in online marketing managing several eCommerce travel sites. Kevin discovered the important role affiliate marketing took in online sales through www.latestevents.com which today, still sells the majority of its specialist concert travel packages through affiliates. Affiliate Window's software was originally coded by Kevin before being handed over to his development team. Currently Kevin oversees development of new projects and ideas to keep the company at the forefront of its sector.
Mark Walters, Managing Director
Having a strong commercial background spanning nearly 20 years, Mark has experience with every aspect of media and predominantly online. Previous responsibilities have always included team building, project management and revenue generation. Originally involved in securing major brands for the Affiliate Window network he further set about establishing an account management team and strategies for the development and retention of clients.
Mark has been key in the development of new project ideas including the AWin Index and Agent99 as well as establishing the ethical perspective of Affiliate Window, making it a solid and attractive proposition to brand merchants. A hands on approach with all divisions ensures a group understanding of direction and goals.
Peter Loveday, Chief Technical Officer
With over 12 years experience in web development and systems administration, Peter brings to Affiliate Window a deep understanding of the technology behind internet marketing and the development process. Prior to joining Affiliate Window, Peter held the position of Senior Developer at Think Business Services Ltd, where he helped to establish the company as a key player in the Web Analytics field. He was responsible for the development of numerous bespoke internet marketing and web analytics solutions for clients across many business sectors.
Peter is now responsible for the continued development of the Affiliate Window systems, utilising his knowledge of web analytics and his understanding of the requirements of Internet marketing professionals to further enhance the solutions Affiliate Window offers. Peter is responsible for the entire technology platform, working closely with Paul Inman on systems maintenance and software development. Peter also manages the contractual and service relationships with external technology suppliers.
Adam Ross, Chief Operating Officer
Adam joined Affiliate Window in 2004 as a support technician, eventually managing the support department and implementing a new strategy for customer service across the network.
In late 2005, he progressed to the key accounts department, assisting blue chip brands in launching and understanding their affiliate marketing programmes. His technical understanding allowed him to bring new skills to the key accounts team bridging the knowledge gap between service and technology. He later managed key accounts, overseeing its expansion from 4 to 15 personnel.
As Client Services Director, Adam ensured an exceptionally high standard of customer service was delivered at all times. Currently as COO, Adam's focus will be improving operational efficiencies and managing internal resources across all divisions.
Management
Mathew Downs, Sales & Marketing Director
In April 2005 Mathew joined Affiliate Window bringing with him over 10 years experience working in Publishing, Sponsorship, Exhibitions, Events and Awards. By implementing a clear and focused strategy on the recruitment of merchants Mathew has built a sales team that delivers Affiliate Window as the network of choice for leading brands in the UK.
Using his previous experience Mathew has developed a comprehensive marketing programme across relevant trade press and exhibitions that ensures Affiliate Window continues to be seen as the innovative and thought leading network it is. His most recent success was to deliver the first ever 'black tie' event of the industry bringing together over 250 of the UK's top performing affiliates and merchants.
Anthony Clements, Client Services Director
Prior to joining Affiliate Window, Anthony worked as staff writer and web content manager for the West Ham United online portal. His switch to affiliate marketing took place in April 2006 where he joined as an Account manager, working to develop and optimise the affiliate strategies for some of the network's blue chip clients. He quickly progressed through the ranks and in March 2007 Anthony took over as Manager of Key Accounts, overseeing the team's continued fast growth. He has implemented the structure and processes of the team allowing them deliver industry leading service levels to the markets biggest brands.
His current role as Client Services Director plays to his many strengths. A strong strategic thinker with an equal measure of commercial and customer facing acumen, Anthony brings a range of skills that benefit merchants and affiliates alike and is often featured as network mediator for group issues and discussions.
David Hall, Partnerships Director
David established a successful career in advertising sales for the publishing companies RBI, Crimson Publishing and Quantum, before moving into the online environment for UpMyStreet.com.
During the 4 years that David has worked at Digital Window the company has grown to become a tour-de-force of UK affiliate marketing. Throughout 2008 David delivered regular training lectures for the IDM, at IMRG events and worked on the 2009 Affiliate Census for Econsultancy. He now heads up the Partnerships Team, facilitating and deepening relationships with our key affiliate partners.
Kevin Edwards, Strategy Director
Kevin's background originated in journalism, working within local press and moving online to provide editorial content for a financial communications company. This led to writing for a human edited online directory for US search company LookSmart and progression into a commercial position creating and optimising search campaigns within MSN. This taste of affiliate marketing, (LookSmart being one of the early 'super' affiliates) prompted joining DGM in 2004 as an account manager. Responsibilities included affiliates, search and display campaigns with eventual influence as Commercial Analyst.
Since joining Affiliate Window Kevin has had a significant impact on the business, facilitating and deepening relationships with partners and strengthening the core management team for Digital Window. He heads up the Strategy Team that has responsibility for instilling best practice internally and producing research and analysis for clients to ensure they achieve maximum ROI.
Chris Giddins, Product Director
Chris joined Affiliate Window in March 2005 as a support technician bringing with him 4 years of eCommerce and mail order experience. In 2006 Chris became Head of Technical Services, managing a team of seven and creating an additional Technical Account Management team to further improve the extensive customer service already offered. He also managed the integration of some of the biggest programmes on the network including Vodafone, DSGi brands, Comet, Woolworths and Marks and Spencer.
After a stint in Client Services, Chris's focus grew to cover both R&D and project management and ultimately the creation of a new Product Team. As Product Director his core tasks are to ensure that the functionality and technology offered by Affiliate Window are both market leading and end user focused.
Paul Inman, Head of Development
Paul has 10 years commercial internet development experience and before coming to Affiliate Window, he worked on Sports Content driven applications with 365 Corporation and TEAMtalk Media. There his role as Senior System Developer involved designing, building and maintaining highly scalable live timing/scoring content systems.
Paul joined Affiliate Window in May 2005 as a Senior Developer working mainly on the ShopWindow system. Moving into the role of Head of Development in June 2007 he now manages a team of seven developers, working closely with Peter Loveday and the development Team Leaders he keeps as much of a 'hands on code' role as possible.
Richard Plumridge, Head of Key Accounts
Originally recruited for a new business role within Affiliate Window, Richard's consultative style and approach formed the basis for a natural shift towards account management. His experience and willingness to offer guidance and support soon singled him out as an ideal Team Leader managing some of the biggest brands on the network.
As the current Manager of the entire Key Accounts Team, Richard's responsibilities are broad requiring an in depth understanding of the top performing merchant and affiliate sectors and the careful balance between service, resource and performance to ensure we get the most from our home grown talent.
Adam Banks, Financial Controller
Adam joined Affiliate Window in 2007. He is a qualified chartered accountant and brings close to 8 years of accounting experience, mainly working in public practice including work of a consultative manner advising clients on their internal control systems along with more common areas of practice.
Providing support for the finance department through his role with our external auditors, Adam was identified as an ideal candidate to run the finance department due to his existing knowledge of the business and of its internal control systems.
Claire Theobald, Head of Account Development
Claire's passion for marketing began shortly after graduating from Sheffield University in 1998. Claire joined a marketing agency in London and worked on both direct and online marketing campaigns for clients such as Martell Cognac, BT Openworld and Norwich Union. Wanting to explore a more creative direction Claire moved to a design house 3 years later and helped manage innovative merchandising campaigns for Walt Disney, Rolls Royce and The Brits Awards.
After spending an action packed year and a half travelling through S E Asia and Australia Claire joined Affiliate Window as an account manager in May 2006. Claire has since developed her role within the Account Development team and was promoted to Head of Account Development in May 2008.
Safiyya Riyadh, Head of Technical Services
A Computing graduate, Safiyya first took her professional role within TradeDoubler as a Technical Executive and quickly was noticed to be a fast learner and great communicator. She joined Affiliate Window June 2007 and has recently moved up the ranks to the current role as Head of Technical Services. Within this role she has helped to manage and structure the team to ensure that a great level of service is being given to both affiliates and merchants.
Gavin Wilson, Head of Commercial
Gavin joined Affiliate Window in April 2008, bringing with him 10 years of publishing and media experience. Originally from a predominantly offline background, Gavin built and shaped a commercial team at a leading media company, devising and implementing strategies across a multi platform media solution provider.
As well as this publishing expertise, Gavin also developed and evolved several face to face networking propositions as well as a leading industry website more recently. His skills in motivation, leadership and strategy have been transferred into Affiliate Windows proactive and forward thinking culture.
Currently working as Head of Commercial, Gavin's meticulous and thorough approach ensures Affiliate Window continue to work with key merchant partners serious about utilising Affiliate marketing as an integral part of their online marketing strategy. A mature and consultative commercial department ensues ensuring high level conversations occur across all sales dialogues.
