Adam Ross, COO, zanox AG
Adam's career began when he joined Affiliate Window back in 2004. At the time, the company was small with just 15 employees. Two colleagues, Mark Walters and Peter Loveday, joined around the same period.
Over the course of the next five years, they formed the management team and eventual board of the company alongside the founders. They gradually built the company into the UK's leading affiliate network with over 250 staff and a turnover of £200m.
In 2009, they directed the sale of 50.1% of the company to European media giants Axel Springer and PubliGroupe and very soon afterwards acquired buy.at, their biggest competitor, from AOL. As well as being strong in the UK, buy.at had a fledgling US operation which eventually gave rise to Affiliate Window US.
Axel Springer and PubliGroupe also own zanox, continental Europe's leading network, and soon merged the two companies to form the zanox Group which today employs 700 staff and turns over €500m in revenue.
In 2014, Adam, Peter and Mark, having successfully managed the UK and US operations for many years, joined the board of the zanox Group as COO, CTO and CEO respectively and now share their time across Berlin and London, where most of the central operations are based, as well as the eight other territories across the world.
