Commission

All commissions will be validated on a 30 day period and boohoo.com reserves the right to claw back commission on all returned goods. boohoo.com do not pay commission on sales from their pre-existing customer database.

PPC Policy

boohoo operates strict paid search rules, which include but are not limited to, Google and its search partners, Bing, Yahoo and all available content networks including Ad Networks.

• Affiliates are NOT permitted to bid on our brand name as a keyword within paid search activity.
• Affiliates are NOT permitted to bid on misspells or variations of our brand name as a keyword within paid search activity.
This includes but is not limited to.
boooohoo, boohoooo, bboohoo, www.boohoo.org.uk, boohoo.co.uk etc

• Affiliates are NOT permitted to bid on hybrid terms that contain our brand name (including misspells and variations) within paid search activity.
e.g. ‘boohoo shoes’, ‘boohoo maxi dress”
• Affiliates are NOT permitted to appear under search terms that contain our brand name and therefore we recommend adding our brand name as a negative keyword wherever possible.
• Affiliates are NOT permitted to direct link by using our official URL as the display URL within their ad copy.
• Affiliates are not permitted to use domains containing our brand name (including misspells and variations) within paid search activity.
• Affiliates are not permitted to use our brand name (including misspells and variations) within the sub folders of their domains for paid search activity.
• Affiliates are not permitted to use our brand name (including misspells and variations) as a sub domain of their own domains for paid search activity.
• Affiliates can NOT use our brand name within their ad title for paid search activity.
• Affiliates can use our brand name within their ad copy for paid search activity.
Domain Restrictions

Affiliates are not permitted to register any domain that maybe deemed similar to the official boohoo URL. Any affiliate found doing so will be automatically expired from the programme and risk losing any commissions generated from these sites.

Voucher Code Affiliates

We welcome voucher code sites on the boohoo UK affiliate programme.

In light of the recent developments regarding promotion of voucher codes on affiliate sites, boohoo asks that affiliates adhere to the new guidelines from the Internet Advertising Bureau Affiliate Marketing Council (IAB AMC). Therefore, the terms & conditions of this affiliate programme have been set to reflect these guidelines:

1. Using "Click to Reveal" when there is no valid or current code present is not permitted for affiliate publishers using "Click to Reveal" to show any deals / offers / sales instead of vouchers.

2. Voucher code affiliate publishers must clearly detail the voucher offer that will be revealed by the click.

3. A valid code or promotion is defined as a code that has been legitimately issued by boohoo for use by affiliates and not a code that has been issued to consumers direct. This code or promotion will have an activation date and where necessary a deactivation date.

4. Voucher code directories must contain clear categorisation and separation between deals / offers / sales and discount codes.

5. R.O.EYE along with Affiliate Window check all sales made through the affiliate programme; where a promotion code is used, and the offer has not been communicated to affiliates to use, commission will be disqualified.

Creative

Affiliates may not alter any of the creative or text links available through the Affiliate Window interface. Affiliates are also requested not to hardcode banners into their sites, so updates made to those through Affiliate Window may take immediate effect.

Anyone found infringing on these terms will receive a warning and may have commissions reversed. We reserve the right to withhold commission during this time. Continuous infringement of these terms will result in suspension.

I-frames

Affiliates may not put the boohoo website into frames or use masked URLs.

Product Feed

The boohoo data feed with up-to-the-minute pricing information will be refreshed each day.

Affiliates are requested to make every effort to maintain boohoo’s most current pricing information in their promotions.

Full Terms & Conditions

Please note that failure to comply with these terms and conditions could result in your relationship being terminated and any commissions earned being reversed.

1. Pay Per Click search activity

Affiliates are not permitted to carry out any PPC search activity directing traffic to boohoo Uk except by special arrangement.

Affiliates generating traffic to their own sites must also abide by the following rules.

a. Using the boohoo brand term in the sub folder of the display URL (eg www.affiliate.com/boohoo) – Not Allowed

b. Using the boohoo brand term in the sub domain of the display URL (eg www.boohoo.affiliate.com) – Not Allowed

c. Using the boohoo brand or a misspelling of the boohoo brand in the display URL (eg www.Sboohoo.com) or (www.booohooo.com) – Not Allowed

d. Using the boohoo brand in the ad title – Not Allowed

e. Using the boohoo brand in the ad text – Not Allowed

f. Bid on the brand term “boohoo” – Not Allowed

g. Bid on misspellings or extensions of the brand (eg “boohooss, Sboohoo, boohool, boohoo UK, boohoo.com”) – Not Allowed

h. Bid on boohoo brand + generic terms (eg “boohoo Shoes”) - Not Allowed

i. Bid on the advertisers URL www. boohoo.com) – Not Allowed

j. Show adverts on competitors’ brands – Not Allowed

k. Please note affiliates are NOT allowed to bid on any variations of the brand name boohoo. Bidding on any brand sold on boohoo is also not allowed

l. boohoo and common misspelling should be added as negative terms to all affiliate paid search campaigns.

2. Discount code / voucher code websites

As standard all voucher code use needs to comply with the official IAB guidelines which can be found here:

a. Publishers may only use discount codes which have been supplied to them by Affiliate Window or R.O.EYE on behalf of boohoo. Please apply to Affiliate Window or R.O.EYE to obtain authorised codes for the boohoo programme.

b. Publishers must not display made up / invented discount codes on their site(s) or display discount codes that were intended for use in other channels or for other online publishers.

c. Under no circumstances are publishers allowed to surreptitiously use i-frames to set Affiliate Window cookies onto a user’s computer.

d. Discount code publishers with websites that encourage users to “click here to reveal offer / code” thus setting an Affiliate Window cookie can only use this function if a voucher code exists for the boohoo programme. If there is no voucher code available for the boohoo programme publishers must not use this method, as it leads to a poor user experience for potential boohoo customers and can cause customer service issues.


e. If a discount code has been issued to publishers and it has an expiry date the publisher must clearly display on its website(s) the expiry date of this discount so that the user can decide whether they want to go ahead and click the publisher’s link.

f. If publishers wish to maintain expired discount codes on their sites for search engine optimisation reasons, they must display clear notification to the user that the discount has expired. This notification must be located right next to the expired discount code. The font size must be no smaller than the site(s) body text and the colour used must contrast clearly with the background It is not acceptable for the notification to be displayed a significant distance from the expired code.

g. Please note that Vouchercode Affiliates commission structure will track at the default 8%

4. Email Marketing

a. All email marketing must be signed off by boohoo and the account management team.

Affiliate Approvals

All affiliate sites are audited on sign up to ensure any brand compliance issue that may exist are met. Any affiliates without a working URL will be rejected.

Validations

All commissions will be validated on a 30 day period and boohoo.com reserves the right to claw back commission on all returned goods. boohoo.com do not pay commission on sales from their pre-existing customer database.

Creative

Affiliates may not alter any of the creative made available through the Affiliate Window interface. Affiliates are also requested not to hardcode banners into their sites, so updates made to those available through Affiliate Window may take immediate effect. If your site requires that banners are hardcoded, please contact the account management team to obtain permission before putting this in place. This will allow us to contact you whenever updates are necessary.


Affiliates found infringing these terms will be warned and may have commissions reversed. We reserve the right to withhold commission during this time. Reactivation of your account will be decided on a case by case basis and you may be suspended from the programme.
